If Rooms Could Talk
An in progress animated short film in collaboration with artist Reilly Stasienko and musicians Sam Seigfried and Jon Viscarel.
SETTING
A surreal landscape of a grassy knoll, rendered to establish the dynamics and ambience of the world.
The 3D rendered and animated world was an expansion on the idea conceived in a painted triptych by Reilly Stasienko.
INSPO
A rough-cut of the introduction to the mansion that is situated within this grassy knoll, where the story ensues.
INTRO
THE HOUSE
It is dusk and a fantastical party has commenced in the mansion. There are too many rooms to count but I attempt to give you a sneak peak of the happenings and characters throughout.
Foyer
One of our main characters, Benji Mann, leads us to the party upon his entrance.
Garage
Our other three main characters, Simone, Chamomile and Pepita Papyrus arrive through the back of the house to meet Benji.
Grand Stair
The grand stair leads to every floor of the house and even spirals up to the watch tower at the very top.
Long Hallway
These long hallways surround a courtyard and lead from the garage to the rest of the house. They are meant to create a feeling of anticipation when the characters enter the house through the garage as Benji awaits them.
Powder Room
Bathroom
Kitchen
The chef is cooking up a large soup to feed to party attendies.
The Pool
A four story pool that extends up through the heart of the house, allowing for windows looking in at all sides
Tea Room
The room to chill in between the painters studio and the portal to the Round Room.
Round Room
A room where everything is round and everyone is tiny and dancing.
This tunnel shrinks characters and spits them out in the round room
Study
The antagonist of the story eerily entering the house.
